Terms of Service

Birth Partner provides general education, organization, timing, and support tools. It is not a medical device, does not diagnose labor or any condition, and does not replace a physician, midwife, nurse, doula, emergency service, or your individual care plan.

Always follow your clinician's instructions. For an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number first. Do not delay seeking care because of information shown in the service.

An account is optional for core local features but required for cloud backup and family sharing. You are responsible for accurate account information, protecting your device and credentials, and keeping family invite codes private.

Only join or invite people with permission. Family members may see information shared through the family tracker. You may not attempt to access another person's account or family space without authorization.

You may use Birth Partner for personal, non-commercial support. You may not interfere with the service, bypass security controls, scrape or reverse engineer protected portions of it, upload unlawful material, misuse another person's information, or use the service in a way that harms others.

The service, visual design, software, illustrations, and editorial content are owned by Birth Partner or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. These terms give you a limited, personal, revocable right to use the service; they do not transfer ownership.

Authentication, email, optional synchronization, website hosting, app distribution, and software updates may depend on Supabase, Resend, Apple, Google, Expo, Vercel, and app stores. Their separate terms may apply.

We may update the service remotely, change features, correct errors, or discontinue features. Some changes may require a new store build or an updated operating system.

We work to keep Birth Partner reliable, including offline access to core tools, but do not promise uninterrupted availability, perfect accuracy, or compatibility with every device. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.”

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Birth Partner and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost data, or decisions made in reliance on the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

You may stop using the service at any time and may delete your cloud account in the app. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, or address misuse. We may update these terms, with material changes reflected by the updated date and appropriate notice.
